The EU Commission has set itself the goal of reducing administrative burdens for companies and simplifying EU regulations. On February 26, 2025, the proposal for the first omnibus package with far-reaching simplifications around the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU Taxonomy and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) was published. In the next step, the draft will be discussed in the EU Parliament and then in the EU Council and will be adjusted if necessary.
