Craig Silvester Partner

I joined the firm in 2005 following extensive professional audit, accounting and taxation experience in Melbourne and London. With over 30 years experience in the industry, I am a member of the Forvis Mazars Melbourne Executive team and act as Lead Partner for the Audit practice. 

As a Registered Company Auditor, I perform audits, reviews and agreed-upon procedures for large international groups, local subsidiary companies and many local Australian businesses including public companies, private companies, not-for-profit entities and Australian Financial Service License holders.  I also act as an Engagement Quality reviewer across audits undertaken within our practice. 

In addition to audit and other assurance roles, I have involvements within our transaction advisory team and also regularly provide advice and strategy around financial reporting obligations and corporate governance requirements including Directors’ responsibility, internal control design and risk management.  

As part of my passion for working with people, I have previously acted as the firm’s HR Director in Melbourne – overseeing the firm’s recruitment, staff welfare and professional development programs.  I also remain active within the firm’s social club and in the firm’s newly established alumni program. 

When not working I can usually be found supporting my other great passion, the Western Bulldogs AFL team – or at the local footy with my wife Kylie, watching our three kids play on weekends.
