Forvis Mazars in Switzerland advised Columna Capital on the sale of Ardentis Group

Private equity investor, Columna Capital, has divested Ardentis Group, one of the leading dental clinic networks in French-speaking Switzerland, after more than six years of partnership. The Financial Advisory team at Forvis Mazars in Switzerland supported Columna Capital and Ardentis Group by conducting financial vendor assistance services.
After more than six years of partnership, international private equity investor Columna Capital completed the sale of its stake in Ardentis Group to Medbase.
Founded in 1993 with the opening of its first clinic in Vevey and headquartered in Puidoux (canton of Vaud), Ardentis Group is today one of the leading dental care providers in French-speaking Switzerland. The Group operates a network of 20 dental and orthodontic clinics across five cantons (Vaud, Valais, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and Geneva) and employs around 450 people, including around one hundred dentists.
Ardentis offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary range of treatments, from routine check-ups to specialised care (orthodontics, implantology, oral surgery, dental hygiene and aesthetics). The Group also operates its own dental laboratory, Dental Lab, which designs and manufactures tailor-made prosthetic solutions in Switzerland for the entire clinic network.
Since 2019, the partnership with Columna Capital has enabled the Group to accelerate its development, combining greenfield clinic openings with targeted acquisitions, while strengthening its central functions and preserving the medical excellence and patient-centric culture established by its founders.
Medbase, the Migros Group's healthcare subsidiary, runs a nationwide network of around 190 medical centres, pharmacies and dental clinics with over 4’400 healthcare professionals, including zahnarztzentrum.ch, its network of 43 dental clinics in German-speaking Switzerland. The acquisition of Ardentis Group extends this dental care offering into French-speaking Switzerland, in line with Medbase's strategy to grow integrated healthcare services nationwide.
This transaction opens a new chapter for Ardentis, which will continue to develop its clinic network and its range of treatments in the service of its patients across French-speaking Switzerland.
