Angelo Accardi appointed as the new CEO of Forvis Mazars in Switzerland

A leader from within 

The partnership of Forvis Mazars in Switzerland has elected Angelo Accardi as the new CEO. The 42-year-old economist and certified public accountant has built an extensive career within the company. He began his journey in 2008 as a junior associate in the Audit & Assurance department dedicated to insurance companies, becoming one of the first employees at the Zurich office. In 2020, Angelo Accardi was promoted to the executive management team as Head of Financial Services, playing a pivotal role in the firm’s expansion.

José Caneda passes the baton after nine years of remarkable leadership, during which Forvis Mazars in Switzerland underwent a profound transformation. Under his stewardship, the firm expanded from 100 to over 450 employees. The company strengthened its presence by opening new offices in both the western and German-speaking regions of Switzerland and introduced a suite of new services spanning audit, consulting, tax, outsourcing, financial advisory, and sustainability. Through these initiatives, Forvis Mazars has firmly established itself as a trusted partner for both SME and large enterprises in Switzerland.  

After stepping down as CEO, José Caneda will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Forvis Mazars in Switzerland and will take on additional leadership responsibilities at group level.
