Responsible jewellery council (RJC) audit

RJC audits to strengthen your commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, create value and control your risks.
Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility have become key issues for companies especially in the luxury industry. Compliance with ethical and environmental practices is capital for the image of luxury and watchmaking groups.

Founded in 2005, the Responsible Jewellery Council is an international non-profit organization, uniting more than 2,000 companies across the entire global watch and jewellery supply chain.

The RJC aims to promote responsible practices, both ethical and environmental, respecting human rights, along the entire supply chain of gold, diamond and platinum metal jewellery – mining to retail. To this end, the Responsible Jewellery Council has established a code of ethics of the profession and sets standards and security procedures, ensuring the member companies’ social and environmental performance on the basis of independent audits and certifications.

Why become an RJC Member?

Industry recognition & certification: Achieving certification validates a company’s commitment to transparency, integrity, and sustainability, positioning it as a leader in the industry and garnering recognition from stakeholders.

Access to resources & guidance: RJC provides members with access to valuable resources, tools, and guidance to help navigate and implement responsible practices.

Enhance reputation & credibility: Membership aligns your company with a globally recognised organisation committed to promoting responsible practices, which can positively influence brand perception and enhance consumer trust.

Market access & competitive advantage: Many consumers, retailers, and brands prioritise sourcing from RJC-certified suppliers, providing members with a competitive advantage in the marketplace and access to customers who value responsible sourcing and ethical practices.

Networking & collaboration opportunities: Membership facilitates networking and collaboration opportunities with other industry stakeholders, including suppliers, retailers, NGOs, and government agencies.

  • Environmental performance
  • Management systems
