Mazars in the Czech Republic strengthens its position: the new appointment of partners

Jaroslav Křivánek (40) was appointed a Partner of the Mazars Tax Practice in the Czech Republic. Thanks to his strong personal involvement in the development of transfer pricing consultancy to Czech and international clients, Jaroslav succeeded in strengthening the established tax practice of Mazars in the Czech Republic.

Before joining Mazars in 2005, Jaroslav Křivánek acquired extensive professional experience in various sectors in leading consulting companies on the Czech market. Thanks to 17 years of experience he is one of Mazars’ key experts in the area of tax advisory services. He leads a team specialised in consultation for local and international companies, including the preparation of tax returns. He has participated in a number of projects in the area of tax audits or tax due diligence and has also led tax disputes. Being an acknowledged expert, he is also a member of the Mazars CEE Transfer Pricing workgroup and the Head of Transfer pricing team in the Czech Republic. The added value for Mazars’ corporate clients is the spreading scale of tax advisory services above and beyond local consulting.

As a recognised specialist in transfer pricing and corporate taxation issues, he is also involved in external communication and lecturing. Jaroslav Křivánek is a tax advisor registered in the Chamber of Tax Advisors of the Czech Republic. He represents Mazars in the CFO Club association. He is fluent in Czech and English.

Nicolas Candy (34) was appointed a Partner of the Mazars Accounting and Outsourcing Solutions in the Czech Republic. Before joining the Mazars´ Czech Republic office in 2011, he acquired international experience in France and the USA. He has more than 12 years of overall experience in the area of accounting and consultancy in reporting and accounting, including the implementation of accounting systems within foreign groups. In his current position, he is in charge of the operational management of the accounting, payroll and business process outsourcing teams in the Czech Republic. His teams of experienced accounting, payroll and outsourcing specialists provide services to companies operating in a wide variety of sectors: the automotive and pharmaceutical industries, real estate, distribution and services. As a reputed expert with extensive knowledge of local as well as International Accounting Standards, such as IFRS, French and US GAAP and tax legislation, he is also in personal charge of the coordination and supervision of several international client assignments.
 Nicolas Candy is involved in the activities of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce and actively participates in the operation of the Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants and Club de l’Immo in the Czech Republic. He is fluent in French and English.
