Auto Enrolment – Opt-out or suspension open
Ireland’s new pension auto-enrolment system, “My Future Fund”, commenced on 1 January 2026 and represents a significant reform of the Irish pensions landscape.
Forvis Mazars has announced a new three-year sponsorship agreement with rising Irish 800m athlete Emma Moore, supporting one of the country’s most exciting middle-distance talents as she pursues international success and qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The partnership, which commenced on 1 June 2026, will provide Emma with financial support throughout the next stage of her career, alongside performance-based incentives as she continues her development on the international stage.
At just 22 years of age, Emma has enjoyed a breakthrough season. Earlier this year, the Oranmore, Co. Galway native twice lowered the Irish Under-23 indoor 800m record before making her senior championship debut at the World Athletics Indoor Championships. More recently, she recorded a lifetime best of 2:00.71 at the Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava, moving to within a fraction of the coveted two-minute barrier.
Emma’s recent success follows several challenging years in which injury and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs) interrupted much of her development. Working closely with coach Joe Ryan and specialists at the Sport Ireland Institute, she rebuilt both her health and confidence to return stronger than ever.
The sponsorship reflects Forvis Mazars’ commitment to supporting talented people with long-term potential. Emma’s resilience, ambition and determination closely reflect the firm’s own values and its employer value proposition, Grow. Belong. Impact.
Commenting on the partnership, Tom O’Brien, Managing Partner of Forvis Mazars in Ireland, said:
“At Forvis Mazars, we believe the greatest achievements are rarely overnight successes. They are built through hard work, resilience, continuous improvement and the support of people who believe in your potential.
Emma’s journey embodies many of the values that define our own firm. Like our people, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to achieving her goals through a relentless pursuit of excellence. We are incredibly proud to support her over the next three years and look forward to being part of what promises to be an exciting chapter in her career.”
Emma Moore said:
“Having a partner like Forvis Mazars behind me gives me confidence to keep chasing my goals and focus on becoming the best athlete I can be.
The last few years have taught me that progress isn’t always straightforward, but with the right people around you, anything is possible. It’s really exciting to be partnering with a firm that shares that mindset and genuinely believes in backing people over the long term.
My focus now is on continuing to improve, breaking the two-minute barrier and ultimately competing with the very best in the world.”
