Oonagh Carney appointed Head of Indirect Tax Services
Oonagh Carney has been appointed as Partner and Head of Indirect Tax Services, where she will lead Forvis Mazars’ expanding indirect tax practice. She will advise clients across all sectors on VAT, customs and other indirect tax matters, further enhancing the firm’s market-leading capabilities in this evolving area.
Oonagh brings over 25 years of experience in VAT and indirect tax advisory. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, she founded and led a boutique VAT consulting firm for more than 15 years, following 11 years with KPMG. Oonagh advises corporates, state bodies and private clients on complex property transactions, cross-border supply-chain issues, asset management and financial services, transaction services, VAT compliance and Revenue interventions.

A Chartered Tax Adviser, Oonagh is Vice President and an elected Council Member (non-executive director) of the Irish Tax Institute. She also chairs the Institute’s Indirect Taxes Committee and serves as its permanent representative on the TALC Indirect Taxes Sub-Committee.
Elaine Daly appointed Head of Business Consulting
Elaine Daly has been appointed as Partner and Head of Business Consulting, where she will lead Forvis Mazars’ expanding Business Consulting practice. She advises clients across all sectors on business transformation, data analytics and economic advisory services, supporting organisations as they respond to complex and changing operating environments.
Elaine brings over 25 years of consulting experience, with an extensive track record in strategy, change management and transformation across public and private sector clients. She joins Forvis Mazars from Grant Thornton, where she held a number of senior leadership roles, including Global Head of Business Consulting for its International network. Elaine began her career at KPMG and has significant experience working with clients in Ireland and internationally.
