Margaret Laidlaw Head of Talent & Culture

Margaret is a UK Executive member and Head of Talent & Culture. Her passion is our firm, our people and their development.

Experience 

Margaret has been in a partner role for over 25 years, working with privately owned businesses as they grow and develop. Over 15 years ago, she took on more senior strategic roles at board level while continuing to work with her clients. Margaret was instrumental in the growth and development of the Forvis Mazars team in Scotland before moving into a national role at Executive level, leading the UK privately owned business teams. Margaret is a passionate people leader, relationship builder, mentor, and inclusion, diversity & wellbeing advocate, which led to her appointment as UK Head of People and now Head of Talent & Culture. Everyone has a different background, story, and lived experience, and she is driven by the need to ensure everyone can bring their true self to work.

Margaret currently helps to shape the firm’s people strategy and culture. This ultimately enables us to deliver quality for our clients, create change and make an impact together. As well as being a Chartered Accountant, she is a STEP-qualified family business advisor and coach and mentor.

Working as part of the UK Executive has given Margaret a unique insight into our international partnership, and her role means she gets to do what she loves: spending time with our teams, understanding their challenges and aspirations and working with them to develop and grow our firm.
