Ernest Akonor Country Leader

Ernest is currently the Country Leader and the lead tax partner in Ghana.

Ernest has over 35 years of experience in auditing and consulting in Ghana and overseas, including seven spent managing his own firm.

A recognised tax expert, Ernest has been instrumental in the promulgation of tax laws leading to major tax reforms in Ghana. He also has extensive knowledge of audit, including IFRS, international auditing stands and US government auditing standards as well as management consulting and accounting.

During his professional career, Ernest has worked with clients operating across a wide range of industries, including financial services, public & social sector, manufacturing, real estate, transport & logistics, energy, IT & telecommunications, media and consumer sectors.

A certified fellow with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, Ernest is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIT) and of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA).
