Steps Campaign shortlisted for Impact Award

From a simple idea to a nationwide movement

What started in 2023 as a simple idea to get people moving has grown into one of Forvis Mazars Ireland’s largest engagement initiatives – bringing together colleagues, clients and workplace communities across Ireland around a shared goal.

The Steps Team Challenge combines wellbeing, community impact, sustainability and relationship-building in one inclusive four-week campaign. Four years on, thousands of people and hundreds of organisations take part annually – creating an impact that extends far beyond the steps themselves.

Tom O'Brien

“The best ideas are often the simplest. The Steps Team Challenge has grown into something that brings thousands of people together around wellbeing, community and a shared sense of purpose. It demonstrates how a business can create a positive impact beyond the services it provides. We are delighted the campaign has been shortlisted for a 2026 Forvis Mazars Global IMPACT Award.”

What’s our next step?

It is to make every step count for more.

Four years ago, we started with a simple idea: get people moving together.

Today, those steps are helping create healthier habits, stronger relationships and positive community impact across Ireland.

Being shortlisted for a 2026 Forvis Mazars Global IMPACT Award is recognition of just how far the Steps Team Challenge has come – and, more importantly, the impact our participants, partners and supporters are creating together.

And we’re only getting started.
