Profile
Niklas Udo Karstens joined Forvis Mazars in 2025 as an associate in the Labor and Human Resources practice and is a member of the Labor Law practice group. He studied law at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and completed his legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Schleswig-Holstein, with placements in Berlin, Kiel, and Potsdam. He has been admitted to the bar since 2025.
He provides comprehensive advice to public institutions and companies on individual and collective labor law as well as works council law, and supports clients through all phases of business transfers. A particular focus of his practice is public collective bargaining law, especially advising on pay grade classifications, job classifications, and hiring procedures. In addition, Niklas Udo Karstens represents clients in court and out-of-court proceedings and conducts in-house training sessions on labor law topics.
