Dera McLoughlin Partner, Head of Consulting
Dera is a Partner and Head of Consulting at Forvis Mazars in Ireland, leading the firm’s management consulting and risk consulting service lines.
In addition to her role as Head of Consulting, Dera leads the delivery of services across the following specialist areas:
- Cybersecurity and NIS 2
- Artificial intelligence (AI)
- IT audit
- Technology and digital consulting
- Strategy and planning
- Organisational design
- Financial consulting
She primarily delivers services to financial services organisations, regulators and public sector bodies. In 2024, Dera was invited by the EU Commission to be part of a group of professionals responsible for drafting the first EU General-Purpose AI Code of Practice, supporting the implementation of the AI Act in Europe.
Dera holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UCD and is a Chartered Accountant (FCA). She is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Prince2 Project Manager, Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and holds a CIPD qualification in HR Management.
