Over the past four years, the challenge has gone from strength to strength, evolving into far more than a step-counting competition. The campaign promotes physical wellbeing, mental health, teamwork and community connection. It encourages people to get outdoors, clear their minds and build healthier habits during the darker months, when motivation can often be at its lowest.

A defining feature of the Steps Team Challenge is its ability to deliver meaningful impact beyond wellbeing alone. Each year, participants, organisations and supporters come together to raise vital funds for important charities and causes across Ireland.
In 2026, the challenge raised more than €35,072 for two exceptional charities: Jigsaw - The National Centre for Youth Mental Health and Bumbleance Children’s Ambulance Service.
Funds were raised through the campaign’s iDonate page, supported by generous contributions from participants, members of the public, and organisations across Ireland. The level of support demonstrated throughout the campaign reflects the strong sense of community that continues to sit at the heart of the initiative.
A special mention goes to this year’s two super donors, Circet and Campion Insurance, who each contributed more than €5,000 towards the fundraising total.
As part of its ongoing commitment, Forvis Mazars Ireland donated €1 for every participant who took part in this year’s challenge, contributing more than €6,500 overall.
Our Forvis Mazars team also came together during the final week for a dedicated walkathon event, raising an additional €3,000 for the charity partners.
What Jigsaw and BUMBLEance do
Both charities supported this year provide essential services across Ireland.
Jigsaw delivers vital mental health support for young people, helping them to access guidance and assistance during critical stages of their lives.
Bumbleance Children’s Ambulance Service provides safe, comfortable and compassionate transport for sick children travelling to hospitals, treatment centres and healthcare appointments, supporting families during extremely challenging times.
Thank you to all our participants
