Appointment to the IASB

At the end of August 2025, the Trustees of the IFRS Foundation announced the appointment of Yu Chen as a new member of the IASB, effective from 1 January 2026, following the departures of Ann Tarca and Jianqiao Lu
Dr Chen joins the IASB from the Chinese Ministry of Finance, where she served as the Deputy Director-General of the China Accounting Standards Committee. Previously, she served as director of the Accounting Regulatory Department of the Chinese Ministry of Finance.
