Forvis Mazars office visiting – Celebration of the 20th anniversary of exchanges between the SCAA and the HZICPA

On 19 September 2025, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of exchanges between the Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors of Hong Kong (“SCAA”) and the Huizhou Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HZICPA”), a delegation comprising representatives from HZICPA, SCAA, and accounting professionals from the Greater Bay Area visited the Hong Kong office of Forvis Mazars.

As Sam Tsoi, our audit partner, serves as one of Council Members of SCAA, we were honored to host part of this anniversary exchange event. This visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our firm’s professional service environment to accounting professionals in the Greater Bay Area and strengthen engagement and connections with industry stakeholders.

During the event, our Managing Director, Jimmy Yip, along with members of Hong Kong Executive Board, Paul She and Gilbert Chan, together with audit partner, Ivan Chan, warmly welcomed the guests and shared insights into Forvis Mazars’ business development, innovation initiatives, and professional expertise across its global, Asia-Pacific, and Hong Kong operations. Following this, two colleagues from the China desk and audit department—Principal, Harris Yuan and Manager, Bonnie Wang—shared their experiences as accounting professionals from Mainland China working in Hong Kong. They discussed their career journeys in the city and explored ways to enhance collaboration between Hong Kong and mainland accountants for mutual growth. The guests were also given a tour of our office led by partners, gaining firsthand understanding of the working environment and professional culture.

Following the office visit, the delegation also visited the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and Hang Seng Bank to gain further institutional and industry insights, broadening the scope of exchange and cooperation.

The visit facilitated in-depth and constructive dialogue between the two parties, focusing on how professional service providers can deliver more tailored and high-value solutions to clients. Both sides emphasized the importance of cross-border cooperation within the accounting sector to support Mainland Chinese enterprises in expanding overseas and achieving their “going global” strategies.
