A graduate engineer of the Institut National Agronomique de Paris-Grignon, chartered accountant and statutory auditor, Olivier Lenel began his career at Mazars in 1991 in the audit of large corporates and mid-sized companies in the industrial and services sectors. Partner since 2002, his career is marked by a unique combination of audit and advisory experience.
Statutory auditor since 2002 and still active today, and convinced of the benefits of multidisciplinary expertise, Olivier Lenel played a pioneering role in launching Mazars’ Consulting practice, which he led for nearly 15 years. In 2003, as a young partner, he launched the GRC (Governance – Risk – Compliance) advisory offering, which later became one of the pillars of the firm’s Consulting practice. In 2014, he took responsibility for developing this practice and joined the France Executive Committee.
Leader of Consulting in France from 2014 to 2018, and at Group level from 2014 to 2016, Olivier Lenel oversaw the first significant investment plan, including several strategic acquisitions in France, reinforcing Consulting as a core activity of the firm.
In 2019, Olivier Lenel co-led and managed the France Executive Committee alongside Hervé Hélias, Chairman of the Mazars Group. In 2021, he was elected Chairman of the Executive Board of Mazars in France.
In February 2025, he was re-elected by the Partners of Forvis Mazars in France, and also became a member of the Group Governing Board of Forvis Mazars Group for the next four years.
