David Jones Manager - Risk Consulting

David is a Manager within our Industry & Services Risk Consulting team specialising in enterprise risk management and internal audit.

Experience 

David has experience in end-to-end management over enterprise risk management and internal audit projects. This consists of work performed in the planning phase including scoping, risk assessments and justifying the manner of testing or audit approach. David has a strong record of delivering his projects to a high standard. This would include activities such as documenting system walkthroughs and critical business paths, SOX and internal control testing, data analytics as well as delivering risk management workshops.

Work Highlights 

• Developed a risk management framework for a listed entity through hosting of risk workshops, consultation of senior stakeholders, benchmarking client practises against industry standards and the utilisation of regular reporting functionality within the tools used by the entity at the time.
• Formation of risk appetite statements through the delivery of workshops to executive and non-executive stakeholder groups, facilitating round table discussions and deeper analysis through benchmarking to industry standards.
• Resolving complex audit issues in coordination with engagement teams including but not limited to: first year implementation of IFRS 16, three-way match substantive analytical audit techniques, and automation of audit procedures amongst other technical accounting and auditing matters.
