Running from 9-24 August, the Edinburgh Book Festival celebrates the written word, bringing together close to 700 events featuring 641 writers from 35 countries, across 6 continents to ignite imaginations, foster human connection, and challenge the status quo.

This year's Forvis Mazars event is “Understanding Endurance”, featuring former professional cycling champion Michael Hutchison. In his new book, "Further," Michael explores the world of extreme endurance in depth.

During the event, Michael will be joined by Emily Chappell, an ultra-endurance cyclist and the winner of the 2016 Transcontinental race. Together, they will discuss the insights he has gained from leading endurance experts, as well as his own experiences of pushing beyond his limits.
