Financial and tax due diligence support to ENGIE for its acquisition of a 157-MW renewables operating portfolio in the UK

Our Deal advisory due diligence team is delighted to announce its role in providing financial and tax due diligence support to ENGIE, one of the leading global utilities companies.

ENGIE is a leading global energy company focused on renewables and decentralised, low-carbon energy networks and a world leader in the energy transition.

Forvis Mazars has advised ENGIE on its acquisition of an operational portfolio of renewable power plants from MEAG, the asset manager of German reinsurer Munich Re. The portfolio includes three onshore wind farms totalling 102 MW and four solar parks with a combined capacity of 55 MW, located in England and Wales. ENGIE intends to repower aging plants and add battery energy storage systems at the solar sites.

Partner, Pierre-Paul Jacquet, commented:

"It has been an absolute pleasure collaborating with ENGIE's teams on this significant milestone in their UK renewable energy strategy. Our Forvis Mazars multi-disciplinary teams in the energy sector have demonstrated exceptional internal collaboration, driving this success forward".
