Acquisition opportunity – Project Catalyst (“the Company”)

Forvis Mazars LLP is looking to identify potential purchasers for the Company (or its business and assets) that has developed and commercialised flushable and microplastic-free absorbent hygiene products.

Background

  • Founded in 2017, the Company is a UK-based material-technology business that is disrupting a £23bn global market by manufacturing, through their own brand, patent protected certified flushable and microplastic free sanitary pads that are safer and simpler and are both 100% microplastic-free and 100% biodegradable.
  • Its national UK retail launch began in 2025 with existing listings in the leading UK grocer and leading UK pharmacy, together with an online store with an engaged and loyal subscriber base.
  • The Company has partnered with a leading manufacturing firm in the disposable hygiene industry, based near Milan, Italy which runs a fully operational multi-sku high-speed production line (approx.600units/min), that has an annual yield of £35m and a validated supply chain for international markets.
  • The Company’s principal assets comprise a proprietary manufacturing line and associated plant and machinery; intellectual property comprising patents, trademarks, and trade secrets; finished goods, raw materials, and packaging inventory.

Key selling points / Financial highlights

  • - The Company’s own brand has introduced four industry-first claims to femcare, with a product that is certified flushable, 100% biodegradable, 100% microplastic-free and zero landfill when flushed. This is the world’s first high-speed and microplastic-free and flushable line.
  • The business combines patented process innovation with consumer brand execution, holding a defensible IP portfolio (three patents granted in the UK and in international phase in six territories), a ready-to-scale manufacturing line, and distribution relationships with two leading UK retailers and the potential to reach out to further retailers.
  • Disposable sanitary pads make up 92% of the global feminine hygiene market, so existing product range can satisfy the majority of the global femcare market and there is the potential to diversify the technology into wider hygiene products such as nappies, incontinence pads and wound care (an estimated £145bn market), and other sectors such as packaging.
  • The brand is the no. 1 UK period brand on TikTok, with a highly engaged community and featured in tier 1 broadcast and consumer titles.

Financial overview

  • The Company employs 12 staff and is led by a seasoned management team from blue-chip consumer-goods backgrounds.
  • As at 30 September 2025, the Company had net assets of £6.9m, comprising largely tangible fixed assets (£5m) and stock (£1.3m).
