Our Deal Advisory provided buy-side advisory services to Palatine Private Equity (“Palatine”) on the management buy-out of SMP Partners (“SMP”), providers of Trust and Corporate services.
SMP is a leading, independent international corporate services provider in the Trust & Fund Administration sector, with Group Headquarters in the Isle of Man. Palatine is a regional private equity firm with offices in Manchester, Birmingham and London, whose focus is investing in the UK mid-market.
The investment in SMP marked Palatine’s first into the Trust & Fund Administration sector, having previously successfully invested in other financial service sectors, including insurance and wealth management.
