Forvis Mazars strengthens Bristol leadership team and service offering

Jos Burkill joined Forvis Mazars as Audit Partner on 1 September 2026. His appointment strengthens the firm’s audit capabilities in Bristol, supporting the firm’s work with growing and complex mid-sized businesses across Bristol and the wider South West.

He joins alongside Sam Farrell, who has been appointed as a Director with responsibility for establishing a Debt Advisory offering for clients in the region. Together, the appointments reflect continued investment in the region and broaden the support Forvis Mazars can offer clients across the South West.

The firm has invested in people at all stages of their careers in recent months: the Bristol office has welcomed 14 new joiners, including nine trainees who started in September. As a global firm with a strong local presence, team members have the opportunity to work across its 14 UK offices. Scott Weaver (Restructuring), Ella Norman (Valuations) and Alex Ward (Audit) have transferred to Bristol within the past year.

Alongside the growth of its audit and advisory capabilities, Forvis Mazars continues to expand its tax team in the South West and is actively hiring for roles at a range of seniority. This investment is widening the pool of expertise available locally, supporting businesses as they grow and helping clients prepare for what’s next.
