Environmental progress and climate action
During the year, Forvis Mazars maintained its 100% zero‑waste‑to‑landfill status across UK offices, supported by ongoing investment in circular economy principles and sustainable buildings. The firm also maintained a ‘B’ rating from CDP for Climate Change disclosures, reflecting a consistent and structured approach to managing environmental impacts.
The report highlights continued progress towards the firm’s science‑based net zero targets, supported by enhanced emissions data capture, supplier engagement and a strengthened environmental management system.
Alongside this, the firm has released its first Climate‑related Financial Disclosure report, aligned with the TCFD framework, setting out its approach to managing climate‑related risks and opportunities.
Advancing social mobility and inclusion
Social impact remains a central pillar of the firm’s sustainability strategy. In FY25, Forvis Mazars supported 523 students through its partnership with IntoUniversity, helping young people from under‑resourced backgrounds access mentoring, skills development and insight into professional careers.
The firm also continued to make progress on diversity and inclusion, with female partner representation reaching 31%, up from 22% in 2021, reflecting sustained focus on progression, inclusion and leadership development.
Following more than 40 years of charitable giving, the Mazars Charitable Trust awarded £811,298 in grants in its final year, before transitioning to the newly established Forvis Mazars Foundation UK in April 2025. The Foundation will focus on improving social mobility across the UK through more targeted, impact‑led funding and skills‑based support.
Strengthening trust and audit quality
The report also underscores Forvis Mazars’ commitment to governance, quality and public interest outcomes. During the year, the firm became a founding member of the Centre for Public Interest Audit, reinforcing its role in championing audit quality and helping to restore trust across the UK audit market.
By continuing to invest in governance, risk management, technology and people, Forvis Mazars aims to support both its clients and the wider profession in navigating an increasingly complex and regulated environment.
