Laura Powell

Laura is an Associate Director in the Forensic team in the UK. She is an experienced forensic accountant who has worked on a wide range of dispute resolution, investigation and other forensic accounting cases.

Experience

Laura’s dispute resolution experience includes loss of profits, post-acquisition disputes, breach of warranty claims, professional negligence cases and forensic investigations in a wide array of sectors, including white collar crime, financial services, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.

Work highlights 

Laura has extensive experience supporting Expert witnesses in arbitration and litigation proceedings across various industries and sectors, including the following:

  • An LCIA arbitration relating to a post-acquisition dispute in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Australian class actions relating to the sale of certain insurance products.
  • An ICC arbitration regarding the outstanding debt and interest on a $2 billion+ Facility Agreement.
  • An LCIA arbitration regarding the calculation of wasted expenditure incurred by a company in the aviation sector.
  • An ICC arbitration regarding alleged outstanding amounts payable under agreements entered into by two companies in the telecommunications sector.
