Simon Chandler Partner - Restructuring and Insolvency

Simon leads the Forvis Mazars LLP Restructuring & insolvency offering in the Midlands and is the head of the firm’s national Members’ Voluntary Liquidation service line.

Experience

Simon qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner with PwC and has over 30 years’ experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency. His knowledge extends to all aspects of advisory, corporate restructuring and rescue, having acted for a variety of stakeholders, ranging from the provision of advice in relation to small, owner-managed businesses, through to the administrations of large corporate groups.

He also has wide experience of corporate simplifications and solvent liquidations and has headed the firm's national Members’ Voluntary Liquidations Centre since its inception in 2016. Since then, he has advised and acted for several-hundred clients in relation to their solvent restructuring requirements, from routine to highly complex single company wind-down scenarios. In addition, he has undertaken many group restructuring exercises, which have led to liquidations of companies in small groups to those with a significant number in large and listed blue chip companies.
