Forvis Mazars provided financial and tax vendor due diligence services to Harmony Energy

Our Deal Advisory Due Diligence team is delighted to announce that it provided financial and tax vendor due diligence services to Harmony Energy in connection with Alpiq’s acquisition of a 90 per cent stake in the business. Harmony Energy is a pan-European developer and operator of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with a multi-gigawatt pipeline across key European markets.

Harmony Energy is a high-quality BESS development and operating platform with a proven track record and a multi-gigawatt pipeline across the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Poland. The proposed transaction required a vendor due diligence process capable of addressing a cross-border business, development-stage assets, under-construction projects and operating battery storage activities.

We assembled an integrated financial and tax vendor due diligence team involving colleagues in the UK, France, Poland and Germany. The team combined transaction services, sector and tax expertise to support Harmony Energy and its shareholders through a coordinated, multi-jurisdictional VDD process.

Through a single, integrated workstream, we helped prepare clear, buyer-ready financial and tax due diligence outputs. Our work was informed by Harmony Energy’s position as a pan-European BESS platform and the transaction’s relevance to the continuing build-out of flexible, low-carbon energy infrastructure across Europe.

Pierre-Paul Jacquet - Partner said: "We are pleased to have supported Harmony Energy on this important transaction, delivering integrated financial and tax vendor due diligence across the UK, France, Poland and Germany. The deal highlights the continued strategic importance of battery energy storage in Europe and the value of bringing together deep sector knowledge with coordinated cross-border execution".
